The movie’s title suggests another potential reason: It's an American thing -the desire for money, the desire to be somebody, to have status, to have an interesting story. He seems forceful and funny and looks like the leading man in a zany romantic comedy.
They might have stuck with the plan, in part, because of the real-life Warren’s charisma. Yes, Warren is all for it the rest, though, just seem willing to go along. Indeed, it’s not certain that the participants themselves even want it to happen. AMERICAN ANIMALS, directed by Bart Layton, is a Sundance critical darling now surfing the wild waves of the summer season. Even though, without the heist, there would be no reason for the movie, it hardly seems possible that the heist will happen, not with these guys.
Throughout the entertaining film, the prospective heist takes on an air of unreality. Spencer and Warren also have no idea how many guys they need for the job, but ultimately settle on bringing two more fellows into the plot. At one point, Warren travels to the Netherlands to meet a fence (although there is some doubt, among the rest of the crew, whether the meeting ever really took place). From Inside the Heist: American Animals was written by one of the four young robbers, Eric Borsuk, with paper and pencil during the 7 years that he was in. “American Animals” demonstrates how major heists should be left in the hands of professionals.
